Shirish Pareek is Visionary Entrepreneur with a passion for Advancing Manufacturing in the United States. Shirish is the founder, and Managing Director of AMG Partners, a permanent capital fund he founded to make growth and buyout investments in advance manufacturing and accelerate the growth of U.S. Advanced Manufacturing companies globally. He also Founded Hydraulex Global and served as its President and CEO for 7 years. Hydraulex Global is a premier worldwide remanufacturer and distributor of Hydraulic products serving Construction, Mining, Oil, Transportation, Agriculture, Automotive and related industries in US and globally. Hydraulex Global is an $ 85 million corporation with headquarters in Detroit, MI and has 5 manufacturing locations across North America: Detroit, Seattle, Jackson, Memphis and Toronto. Hydraulex employees more than 300 manufacturing and administrative workers. Hydraulex exports to 50 + countries world-wide and serves 1000s of customers including major companies such as Caterpillar, Volvo, Case New Holland, Motion Industries, Bobcat and SpaceEx.
Shirish, previously was President and Chief Executive of MinnPar, a Heavy equipment parts business in Minneapolis, MN. He has also worked at international management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in Pittsburgh, PA and at Halliburton on the oil and gas exploration and production rigs in India and Indonesia.
Shirish earned a B.S. with University Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India and an MBA with specialization in Operations and Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University.
He has served on the board of Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA, First Voice International, Compatible Technology International in St. Paul, MN and Indian American Council. He currently serves on several boards including McClarin Plastics in York, PA, DMI Industries in Pittsburgh, PA and Washington DC/Baltimore Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization.
Shirish also serves on the Leadership Council of mForesight. Alliance for Manufacturing Foresight is a federally-funded consortium focused on enhancing U.S. manufacturing competitiveness by providing insights to decision makers on emerging technology trends and related priorities to inform policy and investments in advanced manufacturing.
From 2012 to 2016, Shirish served on the United States Presidential Manufacturing Council under President Obama and Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker initially as a council member and in second term as the Co-Chair for Workforce and Skills Sub-Committee.
